Felt is one of my favorite materials to use because it’s cheap and versatile. It doesn’t fray, it holds it’s shape, and it’s easy to assemble. I decided to create a felt floppy felt pumpkin because I thought it would be a great addition to my felt pumpkin pie garland. This would make a great (supervised) project for kids and you really only need one piece of felt to make a whole pumpkin.

Felt Circle Pumpkin
Materials:
- One 9×12″ piece of orange felt
- Rotary cutter and self healing mat
- Measuring tool
- One wine cork
- Hot glue and extra glue sticks
Instructions:
- Measure out 1 inch from the short end of your rectangle of felt. Cut felt into 1×9″ strips using a rotary cutter or scissors.
- Once you’ve cut all 12 strips, place a dot of hot glue on one end of the strip to create a felt circle. Continue until all felt strips are glued.
- Begin to stack the circles over each other and connect together with a dot of hot glue.
- Start to shape into a pumpkin and insert cork in the middle. I ended up using 10 strips instead of 12 to get the correct size.
- Glue your last strip to the first strip and make sure that the cork is secure in the middle.
This project is super simple and takes less than 20 minutes to make, so you can make ones in different colors if you’d like to.
